That just happened to be Thanksgiving Day in 1998. Our son decided to arrive on Monday, the 23rd. The hospital released me on Wednesday, the 24th. There was no way I was going to be able to make Thanksgiving meal for us and I couldn't/wouldn't travel for four hours one way with a 3 day old baby. We had already bought everything to make Thanksgiving Dinner. My husband is very proficient in the kitchen, thanks to his Mother, and he made our Thanksgiving Dinner that year... turkey, stuffing, the whole shebang. It was delicious too!! He even cleaned up. I got to sit and relax... nurse the baby, nap, etc. while he made our dinner. I'll never forget it. He has helped me prepare many meals for gatherings since then but that was the first big dinner he has done by himself for us.

I blogged ya: http://laurawilliamsmusings.blogspot.com/2007/11/saturday-edition-of-contests-galore_10.htmlAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19574767.post-22544426959868564882007-11-11T15:38:00.000-07:002007-11-11T15:38:00.000-07:00when I was little my cousin and I would pretend to...when I was little my cousin and I would pretend to get tipsy on Martenelli sparkling apple cider :)noreenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16386446097857696563noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19574767.post-73881621624920807302007-11-11T09:26:00.000-07:002007-11-11T09:26:00.000-07:005 years ago, I was in labor all day, but I wanted ...5 years ago, I was in labor all day, but I wanted to have Thnaksgiving with my family, so I didn't say anything. I spoke with a former coworker who lives with her single daughter, a couple of days before Thanksgiving last year. I asked what their plans were and she didn't have any - thought maybe they'd go to a restaurant. Yikes! We invited them spur of the moment, the kids were SO excited to have guests, and I felt like we'd rescued someone from a restaurant Thanksgiving - lol! oh yeah - and our guests had a good time too ;)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19574767.post-43290938673481486692007-11-10T19:55:00.000-07:002007-11-10T19:55:00.000-07:00Ah, yummy pumpkin spice, just in time for Thanksgi...Ah, yummy pumpkin spice, just in time for Thanksgiving. Olives, being my most favorite food in the world, I didn't think could do me wrong. I emptied the contents of the can into my mouth...and my stomach proceeded to empty its contents. I've since built up a tolerance for the salty gems (probably can down a quart or more no problem), but that Thanksgiving was my initiation. Thankfully, though, I was still able to consume the turkey with all the trimmings...or at least most of them :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19574767.post-34120147910137249612007-11-10T16:04:00.000-07:002007-11-10T16:04:00.000-07:00Ahh well. She made the most fablous cakes and cookies. I would help her all day the day before using her old cookie press lay out all the cookies. I can still smell it. I miss her horribly and thanksgiving always is a reminder.

Im bloggin ya too :)Angelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16077173957047946244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19574767.post-3191536923909591992007-11-10T16:01:00.000-07:002007-11-10T16:01:00.000-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Angelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16077173957047946244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19574767.post-35980808331445959042007-11-10T11:03:00.000-07:002007-11-10T11:03:00.000-07:00Hi!
