gallows humor for writers

My crack-up of the day: While researching alternate terms for a character's demise, I came across this list of writerly euphemisms for death on DeathSlang.com:

Made the big deadline.
Taking minutes for the Maker.
Went to that big spell-checker in the sky.
"Lateral mobility."
The final Edit.
The eternal offsite assignment.
Documented the Big D.
Reformatted.

And my favorite...

Very, very passive voice.

    "hsbbgi" could be the sound one makes on clearing your throat after walking alone in the desert for 3 days
