no deep thoughts, just my scattered day

1. Awesome music for running on the prairie: How cool is Franz Ferdinand (I know this isn't new news)? They've got this whole Dead or Alive-y/U2-y/Buggles-y thing going on. I love Take Me Out. (Quick: What song made The Buggles famous?)

2. What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you? (via It's a Pug's Life (via Heidi's blog). Check 'em both out.

And finally...(drum roll, please)...

3. Whoever correctly identifies the speaker of the following line will be my new kindred spirit of the hour: "Well, don't be embarrassed. If you've got the Pox, just plop your, uh, manservant on the table and we'll take a look at it."

  3. LOL, Ken. Well, you'd know the answer to that if someone would guess who said it. Okay, people, here's your hint: Rowan Atkinson. If that's not a dead giveaway, I don't know what is.

Word verification: siuxx. Egads, I hope that's not a reflection of the blog. 8-/

  4. Manservant! snicker snicker. I don't know what it's from and I wish I did!

    video killed the radio star.

I have had so many scary things happen that I can't quite sort it through and pick one! Mildly scary, and I've been thinking about it a lot lately: getting thrown off my big pinto and getting the wind knocked outta me. I hope I'm not psychic!

Ok, last night going into Safeway and worrying that I might have a grand mal seizure (no, I'm not epileptic and haven't had a seizure) was scary. I looked at my feet the whole time I was at the checkout counter, just in case the grocery store lighting triggers stuff like that.

Kid #1 was hit on the head with a rock once, but I didn't see it happen. All I saw was grandpa running toward the house carrying a crumpled boy with blood gushing all over his face. That was freaky. Anything that combines kids with injury or illness is hands-down the most scary thing for me!

On another note, I don't know the Manservant quote (although by the label, I'm guessing credit goes to the BBC), but if there's a manservant with the pox around here, I'd rather you NOT plop it on my table. I'll take perfectly healthy manservants, though. Wink wink, nudge nudge.

The bootlegged video you linked has been pulled. Darn, I really wanted to see it, too.
